| Job Description |

Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Manage all accounting and financial transactions on a day to day basis, ensure that policies and procedures are consistently applied in the recording of all accounting transactions, and review vouchers and supporting documents as necessary, identify errors and omissions and process any necessary adjustments.
2. Assign work to departmental staff and supervise them on a day to day basis, ensure that control accounts are reconciled periodically with subsidiary ledgers, and follow up and resolve queries, if any.
3. Verify the completeness and accuracy in the recording of accrued expenses and check their reversal in the next accounting period.
4. Manage accounting functions related to income including billing and collection of advertising income, sponsorships, return on investments and deposits etc.
5. Manage accounting functions related to procurement of goods and services, carry out verification of quantities and prices, ensure that guidelines and procedures are consistently followed by all concerned while procuring goods/services, and highlight and report lapses if any.
6. Verify bank balances and perform bank reconciliation.
7. Supervise the preparation of draft accounts and discuss with the superior to obtain suggestions and comments.
8. Make necessary adjustments in the accounts as advised by the superior so that the statements are in accordance with the policies and procedures as laid down by the competent authority.
9. Coordinate with internal / external auditors so as to provide them with the accounting / financial related documents.
10. Conduct financial analysis and present the findings to the superior and suggest corrective actions / measures to be taken by the competent authority.
11. Design budget formats required for budget preparation by incorporating valid suggestions received from various divisions and departments.
12. Prepare budget schedules providing details of activities to be undertaken towards the preparation of budgets including circulation forms, resolving queries for completing and returning budget forms, and circulation of approved budgets.
13. Follow up with concerned divisions / departments to submit the forms so that the budget could be prepared on schedule and check for completion and consistency with the prescribed guidelines.
14. Receive filled out budget forms from concerned divisions / departments and locations and check to ensure that the information provided therein is complete and consistent.
15. Prepare master budget for management review and approval.
16. Ensure proper budgetary controls as per policies and procedures laid down by the superiors.
17. Monitor expenditures against the approved budgets, notify variances and take appropriate action / measures.
18. Perform any other work, which may be assigned by the superior. |

| Qualifications |
1. Master in Finance/ any professional qualification (part qualified accountant or CA finalist)
2. Working knowledge of MS Office
3. Knowledge of working with specialized software
4. Total 6 years of experience in a middle management level in finance.
5. 2 years in a similar position |
