| Job Description |
Nationality: Afghan
The National Solidarity Program (NSP) was created by the Government of Afghanistan to develop the ability of Afghan communities to identify, plan manage and monitor their own development projects. NSP promotes a new development paradigm whereby communities are empowered to make decisions and control resources during all stages of the project cycle. In accordance with government policy the program is expected to lay the foundations for a long-term strengthening of local governance to make it more inclusive (e.g. for women, internally displaced persons, returnees and ethnic minorities) and to provide assistance for the reconstruction and development of communities.
Duties & Responsibilities: Job Summary: In general the Data Entry Officer will deal with the FPMD's data base, FPs reports on NSP, extracting and compiling various information from data base and other sources. The Data Entry Officer has the responsibility to work long hours especially when the reports are due at the end or beginning of the month. The incumbent has to undertake no field visits. She/He is enforced to make better the quality of the reports and reporting system with in the FPMD. The incumbent must ensure submission of quality reports to higher authorities such as Ministry and World Bank when it is required. This also includes to ensure dealing with the compilation of FPs contract figures and information.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Ensure the on time and quality entry of data in the department's data base.
2. Produce various reports and information by linking the department's data base with the M&E and main MIS data base.
3. Assist the Head analyst to produce different analytical reports.
4. Prepare the National Status Report based on FPs monthly reports of overall program progress.
5. Prepare the Quarterly Report based on FPs quarterly reports.
6. Identify individual problems with FP reports and liaise with FPs accordingly.
7. Conduct training for FP reporting staff, to address problems with FP reporting if required.
8. Review NSP PMU reports to identify discrepancies in he data provided by FPs at the central and provincial levels and follow up with FPs.
9. Maintain efficient filing system of all FP monthly reports and consolidated program progress reports.
10. Periodically liaise with the MIS department to update the MIS and department's data base.
11. Develop close working relationships with all NSP departments and stakeholders where appropriate to establish a shared vision of the NSP and achieve objectives.
12. Ensure teamwork approach during daily tasks performance.
13. Consult with the Head and Deputy head of the department while making important decisions.
14. Share the important information with the staff within the department.
15. Prepare weekly and monthly activity plan.
16. Put the important documents relevant to the position on the public server and update the server when it is required.
17. Perform other tasks relevant to the post as required. |

| Qualifications |
1. A bachelor's degree preferably within IT or in related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years experience of working within government or private sector.
3. The candidate should have fluency in Dari and Pashto, good written and spoken English language skills, good communication, strong computer knowledge and organizational skills. Must be proactive with good problem-solving skills; and have the ability to interact with a range of people.
4. Excellent in dealing with numbers, preparing tables. |
