| Job Description |
Nationality: Afghan
MADRAC is a microfinance institution which was established in June 2005 by DACAAR with financial support from MISFA, providing financial services to the poor and vulnerable families. Having its head office in Kabul, it is operating in 18 districts of 8 provinces (Kabul, Ghazni, Logar, Kapisa, Parwan, Herat, Nangarhar and Laghman provinces) through its 12 branches. It has about19, 000 clients as of July 2008.
Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Oversee the operational systems and operational department staff.
2. Implement, review and ensure efficient operational process, methods and procedures in addition to ensuring compliance with all the operational policies.
3. Develop operational strategy and revise the operational guidelines as needed.
4. Manage field operations and plan for effective operations in line with the strategic plan.
5. Advise the director on the day to day management of the MFI and field operation.
6. Maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of loan officers and branch/regional offices.
7. Make sure that the programme targets are achieved.
8. Prepare annual target plan for the programme as well as for branch offices.
9. Prepare strategic outreach and growth plans.
10. Prepare annual staff capacity development plan and make sure that the plan is implemented.
11. Assist the director in developing new business plan and in institutional development of MADRAC as required.
12. Ensure that all required reports on operation, outreach and growth are prepared on time and submitted to different stake holders as needed.
13. Be a member of the senior management team of MADRAC.
14. Any other duty as deemed necessary assigned by the director. |

| Qualifications |
Education: University degree with enough Microfinance / banking knowledge.
Experience: At least 5 years experience in project/programme management one year must be in Microfinance.
Other qualification an advantage: Strong management and leadership skills.
Languages: Fluency in English, Dari and Pashto.
Personal qualification: Active, initiative and having strong sense of responsibility. |
