Nationality: Afghan
The United Nations Human Settlements Programme, UN-HABITAT, is the United Nations agency for human settlements. It is mandated by the UN General Assembly to promote socially and environmentally sustainable communities, towns and cities with the goal of providing adequate shelter for all. The main documents outlining the mandate of the organization are the Vancouver Declaration on Human Settlements, Habitat Agenda, Istanbul Declaration on Human Settlements, the Declaration on Cities and Other Human Settlements in the New Millennium, and Resolution 56/206. By working at all levels and with all relevant stakeholders and partners, the agency contributes to linking policy development and capacity-building activities with a view to promoting cohesive and mutually reinforcing social, economic and environmental policies, and countries' policies and programmes in human settlements in conformity with international practices and covenants.
Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Work closely with the entire CEDPB team, prepare Visibility Plan and coordinate visibility related activities with concerned staff of the project team as and when required.
2. Take lead in designing and developing onsite visibility materials like: project banners, signboards, plaques, project plates, photographs, stickers, and so on.
3. Take lead in planning, coordinating and developing offsite visibility materials like: TV, radio, and press campaign, project brochure, posters, documentary film, photo exhibition and so on.
4. Work closely with community mobilizers and other field staff and prepare success stories based on the knowledge and information collected from the field.
5.Collect, compile, store and analyze data and information coming from the field in order to support PIU decisions for refinement in the project implementation strategy.
6.Document success stories and prepare small press briefings in English and local language to cover major project events as and when required.
7. Work closely with the project team and take initiation of publishing news-letter of the project.
8. Support field staff in arranging main events like CDC and CAP formation, project inauguration and project completion ceremony, training activities and so on in order to get maximum visibility and publicity for the project.
9. Assist field staff in distributing visibility materials in target communities.
10. Maintain visual records of different stages of all projects in order to track the progress and evaluate the impact at the end of the projects.
11.Collect and compile important information from the field and write small press briefings to cover all major project events in local newspapers, radio and TV channels.
12. Conduct impact study of visibility campaign on regular basis and make necessary revision in the approach based on the lessons learned.
13. Perform any other tasks assigned by the project management, when required. |

| Qualifications |
1. High School diploma and at least two year of experience relevant to the subjects like, publication, photography, video documentary and press reporting working.
2. Sufficient knowledge and experience of community mobilization process and working with informal settlements preferably with UN agencies or related international NGOs.
3. Proficient in writing good quality project progress reports supported by tables, graphs, flow charts and relevant maps.
Computer Skills: Excellent Computer, MS. Office, Video editing software, magazine development software, etc.
Language: Fluency in communication, reading & writing skills of local and English language is necessary. |
