Nationality: Afghan
Relief International (RI), an international relief and development agency with cross-sectoral programmes bridging relief and development, seeks a Livestock Consultant for its ‘Alternative Development Program’ in Nimroz Province.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Job Summary: Relief International (RI) under Alternative Development Program (ADP) is planning to conduct market assessment for the agro-based enterprise and technology development intervention design in Zarang, Kang, Charburjok and Chakhansour districts under Nimroz province.
For this purpose, RI-ADP intends to hire a Market Assessment Consultant who has substantial experience in the field of agribusiness development/agro-based industries and technology development/Small and Medium industries (SME) development intervention design.
Responsibilities
Programme Management
1. Collect the following information (sources and unit price) from the local/regional
ational level (address: mobile number and e-mail address of the 3 manufacturers/ suppliers/ traders processors /exporters from each sector):
2. Amou 99 Wheat variety (available with FAO).
3. DAP (300 bags (50 Kilo bag).
4. NPK (Mixed Fertilizer)
5. Urea (600 bags (50 Kilo bag)
6. Insecticides/Pesticides Sprayer (20)
7. Wheat Power Thresher (4) (With Engine)
8. Livestock feed (5-6 Metric Ton)
9. Mug bean seed (4.8 MT=4800 Kg). Improved variety
10. Water melon (unit price $/Afg).
11. Potato, Onion, Ground nut seed (unit price $/Afg)
12. Sorghum (fodder seed) (4800 Kg)
13. Scissors (for wool cutting and carpet making) (230)
14. Name and address of Wheat big buyer (Wholesaler, Processor-Flour Mill owner, Exporters-Wheat exporters)
15. Name and address of wool and carpet big buyer (Wholesaler, carpet maker, carpet exporters)
16. Yogurt and Cheese big buyer (Traders, Wholesaler, processors).
17. Name and address of livestock inputs supplier (feed, drug, vaccine) supplier
18. Small pick up van/Truck (5-10 Ton)
19. Tractor, Power Tiller, Irrigation pump (with technical specification)
20. Write Market assessment report.
21. Write Value Chain Assessment report. |

| Qualifications |
1. University degree in Agriculture or Marketing
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in the private sector.
