Nationality: Afghan
Relief International (RI), an international relief and development agency with cross-sectoral programmes bridging relief and development, seeks a Livestock Consultant for its "Alternative Development Program" in Nimroz Province.
Duties & Responsibilities: Job Summary: Relief International (RI) is planning to conduct training sessions for livestock farmers on animal husbandry and livestock intervention design in Zarang, Kang, Charburjok and Chakhansour districts under Nimroz province.
For this purpose, RI-ADP is hiring an Expert Livestock Consultant with substantial experience in the field of Livestock/Veterinary and Animal husbandry who is capable of implementing the livestock farmers training programme and a livestock market assessment and livestock intervention design.
Responsibilities Programme Management 1. Advise RI-ADP in finalizing livestock/animal husbandry training program;
2. Create a complete set of training materials.
3. Conducting daily training for livestock farmers training during the entire training period;
4. Evaluation of livestock farmers training performance.
5. Conduct livestock market assessment
6. Design livestock development intervention (Yogurt, Cheese making project, Poultry, Animal Husbandry, wool processing)
7. Conduct Value Chain Assessment (Animal Husbandry, Wool Processing).
8. The livestock consultant will provide RI-ADP a complete set of training materials.
9. Evaluate livestock farmers’ training performance;
10. Write a report at the end of the training about the future training strategy and recommendations.
11. Design a livestock intervention design report
12. Write a livestock market assessment report.
13. Write an Animal Husbandry and wool processing value chain assessment report in English. |

| Qualifications |
1. University degree in Veterinary or Animal Husbandry
2. Minimum of 10 years of experiences in livestock management, training and livestock market assessment, intervention design and value chain assessment.
3. Experience living and working in dynamic, insecure environments with local communities.
