The main purpose of GMU in the ministry of labor Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled ( MoLSAMD) is to provide an efficient and professional fund raising opportunities for the proposed development projects and design and implement new projects/programs, plans & strategies, that in turn contributes to the reconstruction of Afghanistan and to build the capacity of MOLSAMD through developing and improving its ability to complement financial assistance by providing training and employment services. Ensuring an efficient and equitable delivery of high quality services, designing social policies that promote employment and facilitate economic adjustment; tackling poverty and exclusion from society and the labor market, adjusting social systems to ageing societies. Role of GMU concerning the social policy is to identify policies which help individuals achieve their potential and which at the same time make societies and economies work more effectively by providing new marketable skills for Afghani’s workforce. The number of displaced workers will be able to obtain employment, provide income for themselves and their families, and contribute to the nation's economy, also GMU aims to monitor the functioning of pension systems, evaluate the impact of pension reforms, and compare policies across member countries because population ageing is one of the greatest challenges that social policy makers are facing. All countries are taking reform measures to ensure that retirement income arrangements are socially adequate and financially sustainable under changing demographic circumstances. Analysis and monitoring of pension reforms is crucial to maintain the success of past pension policies in preventing old age poverty and providing adequate standards of living for retirees.

Duties & Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will work under the direct supervision of the Admin,Finance and Procurement Manger for provision of the following services to GMU (Grant Management Unit):


The main responsibilities of the driver will include but are not limited to:

1. Drive the office vehicle safely for transport of authorized personnel.

2. Keep assigned vehicle clean both internally and externally.

3. Carry out daily preventive maintenance, including checking fuel & water check (radiator and wipers), lights, tires pressure, horn and general inspection of interior and exterior of the vehicle.

4. Maintain the vehicle logbook properly filled out with fleet information as well as maintenance of, and making sure it is signed properly by authorizing 0fficer.

5. Undertake errands as requested.

6. Assist purchase officer in procurement of vehicles spare parts.

7. Assist the Mechanics to repair the vehicle.

8. Perform as a duty driver at non-official time as assigned by Logistics.

9. Undertake any other tasks assigned from time to time.

10. Be able to travel to any province/part of Afghanistan.

11. Be polite to all members of staff and visitors to GMU.
Qualifications 1. Completion of secondary or high school.

2. Be able to speak, write and read both Dari and Pashto

3. Have driving experience preferably with government and international NGOs.

4. Good human relation and tactfulness.

5. Strong driving skills and a valid driving license is essential.

6. Knowledge of the vehicle repair is an advantage.

7. Must be familiar with Kabul and other major cities.

8. Fluency in English language Preferable
