| Job Description |
Nationality: Afghan
The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock is a key ministry of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan that aims to develop the agriculture, irrigation and livestock of the rural and urban communities.
The Ministry is expected to lay the foundations for a long-term strengthening of local agriculture, to promote governance, to rebuild social capital and leadership within villages and neighborhoods, and to provide assistance for rehabilitation and development to communities
Duties & Responsibilities:
MAIL has planned to conduct sampling agricultural household survey throughout the country. The incumbent will be responsible for conducting agriculture household’s survey. The data obtained by survey team will be interred to the database.
Tasks:
1. Plans, coordinates and supervises the work of several field surveyors.
2. Serves as a liaison between survey crews and survey team leader.
3. Coordinates work assignments to ensure timely completion of projects.
4. Keep detailed and accurate records of crew activities, survey data, etc.
5. Studies operational problems and recommends necessary changes to improve quality & output.
6. Explains objectives and procedures for staff and survey crews.
7. Reports to the survey manager on events and activities which may affect operation.
8. Arrange for the adjustment & maintenance of survey instruments & equipments in order to keep smooth operation of the survey process & timely implementation of project.
9. Collect, verifies and passes survey questionnaires to head quarter.
10. Train enumerators and other field supervisors if needed.
11. Perform any other duties required by the management.
12. Oversee and monitor survey work in the field.
13. Ensure that all the households are covered during the survey in assigned villages.
14. Ensure that all the questionnaires are filled correctly by the surveyors based on the training provided during the training courses.
15. Ensure that all the surveyors are received the enough numbers of questionnaires and other documents which are needed for the filed.
16. Assist the surveyors in logistics matter.
17. Ensure that surveyors receive their final entitlements etc.
18. Reports are expected for each mission. |

| Qualifications |
1. A bachelor in statistics, Economics, Agriculture and other related filed, Master degree is preferred.
2. At least 3 years of work experience in supervision survey team.
3. Strong communication and presentation skills.
4. Strong team working skills and experience.
5. Good knowledge of survey techniques.
6. Should be familiar with computer (MS office) Programs.
7. Should have good Pashto and Dari communications skills, English is desirable. |
