| Job Description |
Nationality: Afghan
The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock is a key ministry of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan that aims to develop the agriculture, irrigation and livestock of the rural and urban communities. Avian Influenza: Outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HAPI) CASED BY THE H5N1 subtype of influenza were first recognized in Hong Kong in 1997. Since late 2003, this subtype has been spreading at an alarming rate, from East Asia to Central Asia, and now to the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and South Asia. The project is being implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock through an Implementation Support Team (IST) that reports to the National Avian Influenza Secretariat (NAIS) and administrated through General Department for Policy and Planning (PPD) in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health.

| Qualifications |
1. This position requires Bachelor degree in business administration and social sciences. MBA degree holders are preferred.
2. At least four years of relevant work experience is required.
3. Experience and exposure to WB and other international organizations’ M&E system is desirable.
4. The candidate must be able to communicate in English, and one of the national languages (Pashto, Dari)
5. The candidate must be computer literate (MS Office, Internet and E-Mail).
6. S/he should be willing to travel to the provinces as and when required. |
