Germany helps 200,000 euros to flood affected Afghans

Germany has decided to contribute 200,000 euros to the flood-affected general public in Afghanistan, a reporters of Afghan Foreign Ministry said Thursday. "Germany's Foreign Ministry provided 200,000 euros emergency aid to flood-affected relatives in Afghanistan," the media added. This aid would be payed to the most affected Kunduz, Badakhshan, Takhar and Balkh provinces, in the north locality, for each 50,000 euros, the press further stressed. Heavy rains and flooding have left over 250 persons dead and rendered hundreds of thousands other displaced over the past six weeks in Afghanistan. Germany, according to the newspapers has contributed 85 million euros as humanitarian aid to Afghanistan since 2001.
