Pakistan to launch goods train to Afghanistan |

Pakistan Railways Headquarters Lahore General Manager Saeed Akhtar has said it will initiate a special train service for goods in transit to Afghanistan.
This he said while talking to a delegation of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) at his office in Lahore, a press release said. He said a modern dry port spread over 130 acres near Azakhel was in the pipeline, adding that construction work would start soon.
Additional General Manager Traffic Railways Junaid Quraishi, Sheikh Sardar Elahi, Javed Anwar and Imtiaz Rizwi were also present on the occasion, who apprised the GM of the problems being faced by the business community. |
